Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of behavior and its effect on learning, attention, participation, socializing, regulation, communication and/or relationships. Behavior analysis helps us understand the presence of behaviors, environmental factors that may contribute to behaviors and the influence they have on an individual's ability to learn. Behavior therapy aims to identify and decrease harmful, distracting and/or negative behaviors and increase behaviors that are helpful and promote learning, growth and development.
Our behavior therapists develop and implement unique behavior treatment plans to support our pediatric population and help them to successfully participate and thrive in community, home and academic settings. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) reinforce and encourage clients to develop communication, language and other functional life skills in natural environments to facilitate generalization and independence of skills. Intervention, child centered programs are tailored specifically for each client based on their needs, strengths and areas of interest.
